I work in audit and my day to day job involves working on the audit file to complete sections
I have learnt many skills since I first joined. I think exam knowledge has helped the most as well as on the job experience. I think the training is not as useful for day to day knowledge.
I enjoy the programme and the people I get to meet. It gives a broad range of experiences and there is so much to get involved in
I do feel valued by Deloitte and appreciated by my managers.
I think the induction was well structured as it was a good transition from college to full time work. They didn't put us straight into the job and this broke it up. I think the programme could be more structured in terms of exams and grading. Second year bright starts are graded similar to new graduates even though we have a years experience and this can sometimes cause confusion. People will treat us as first years but may think we have the knowledge of second year knowledge which we don't as our exams are more spread out. This gap of experience and technical exams should be reduced as it impacts the work we can take on and the amount of knowledge we have about specialist areas which are looked at as you go into your second and third year. I think the course should be four years instead of fives years which will help Improve the structure and experience
I receive a lot of support and guidance throughout the year. People are also willing to help you get involved in things/projects that interest you
HR and management are very supporting and encouraging. They look out for both health and wellbeing and try to reach the best solutions for all
it covers my costs well as I have had a pay rise this year
there are many opportunities outside of work and many events
Yes
it is a very friendly and welcoming environment to work in
research the job and the day to day role to ensure that you know exactly what you'll be doing and whether you will enjoy it or not. Stay professional during the application process and don't get nervous
