I assist colleagues in my department with day-to-day tasks, whilst continuously developing my understanding of the business and confidence to liaise with clients.
AAT level 3 studies to develop accountancy skills Developed confidence to speak up in meetings Managing expectations from various managers.
I love the programme I am part of, and find the rotation system very beneficial for development in the early stages of my career.
I feel very valued at all times, and not treated as 'the apprentice', but more as a colleague.
Very well organised. Catch-up meetings are scheduled every 2-3 weeks to keep the apprentices updated on what is happening around us.
I couldn't fault the support we receive from the training providers (BPP). We have a tutor we can email whenever we like with questions, an open hub where we can upload more generic questions, plus online material accessible to us 24/7.
The programme management team are always available if we need a chat regardless of the issue. The business are also very supportive - They are happy to help as long s you show a willingness to learn.
I have no complaints about the salary.
There are always company events that you can get involved in. For example, I have attended many 'Pub of the fortnight' events, and also regularly attend a 5-a-side football match with my department.
Yes
KPMG is such a diverse company and open so many doors for you. The management team make the transition from school to work so easy.
Remain open minded at all times and there is no such thing as a silly question!
