I am a 360 Apprentice and have recently rotated into Audit. I work at client sites doing real and valuable work. I interact with clients on a daily basis to carry out my work.
I have learnt so many new skills whilst being on the 360 programme. Some examples include using specific IT software and also efficiently using Excel. I am currently completing Level 3 AAT and am able to apply what I have learnt in my studies on the job.
KPMG is a great place to work and the people are fantastic! Due to the rotational aspect of the programme I am able to work in various departments and learn new things.
In general, I do feel valued by my team members and this is evidenced through praise from my managers.
Our induction week was well structured and we were given lots of beneficial information. KPMG also offers study leave when preparing for exams which is also great. However, sometimes I do feel that it can take a long time for apprentices to be informed of certain decisions.
BPP offer an online service and you can also contact your tutors directly. They tend to be really good at getting back to you.
KPMG offers study leave in preparation for the exams and also provides us with all the revision materials. You can always contact the PQT representatives if you have any questions/ problems etc.
KPMG offers a competitive salary and the salary is quite good for a starting salary.
There are quite a lot of socials that you can get involved in outside of work and you are also able to attend a lot of external networking events through KPMG.
Yes
KPMG has a great culture and there are so many great opportunities available within the firm. All the staff are really helpful and always happy to help.
I would advise you to research KPMG in detail beforehand and make sure this is a career you want to pursue. Make sure to take your time when filling out the application form and prepare in advance for what you might be asked in the interview. Most importantly be confident in yourself and your abilities!
