i am a cashier, this means each day i serve customers with transactions ranging from taking cheques and paying in money. i also sort out paperwork which might come up on the counter, i also fill and empty all machines in the branch. also i help cover when needed on the front desk helping customers wioth their queries
i have learnt to be more confident with what i am talkig about. i espeically learnt a lot more to do with businesses as before i wasnt sure on many things. learnt more things around customer too, it hashelped me to also help my colleagues when they need advice or need to feel more confident and have more knowledge.
my trainer was brillaint, however i felt the support from my line mnager was not great and i felt like the programme really took a backseat because of this. it made me enjoy my programme less and less each month. sometimes i wish that i hadnt started it when i was in the branch i was in
very much so. hsbc do a lot to train you and help you in your evelopment. they will support when you are in a time of need and they will help to prpgress you to where you want to be. there is a lot of opportiny within hsbc, and if you give a lot uyou will get a lot.
very well so, some parts are hard or take longer to come thorugh but that is normal. i had one problem with my gcse, i lost my certs so i needed ot retake exams, and once i re took them they then managed to locate my certs.. this was frustrating and did add on another month or so to the programme, but nothing that could be helped so was fine.
a lot. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] was brilliant and really helped me and understood when i could and couldnt meet the time scales. she made the experience much more pleasent for me. i really cant thank her enough for all the support she gave me, she understood the pressure i was uner from my manager and branch in general and supported me through the hard times.
none at all for the programme, felt totally let down and like they didnt care if isuceeded or not. i reallwanted to do well and felt like the no support i was given made me worse off in the end,. however now in my role as a cashier i do feel like i hve support, when i need something i get it and when i am having troubles, they are helped and supported to beung fixed and that i thank hsbc for,
not very well, for my living expenses in a very expensive city, i am left with little at the end of the month after my bills come out. it has hard to live on your own as a yougn lady and pay for a flat, tarvel to work and other bills. i have nomoney left to buy myslef things or go out with friendsmakes me feel like i go to work for nothing.
sometiems when someone is leaving or having a birthday we will arrange soemthing. in my whole time here i was invovled, and knew about, one volunteer activity. we have a christmas meal out for the branch and that is it, ao the naswer is no. i feel like the team doesnt come together enough and this has an impact wiht work because we find it hard sometimes to be a good team.
Yes
great international company, interested in develping and training poeple., good experince over all and would be even better with the right people working with you. you can go to many places within hsbc and really it is a career for life.
speak the truth, when you need help or do not understand something you must tell someone. rather than get it wrong they would rather you ask many times. things will get better in banking in the coming years we believe so just do your best in the bad times becaise the good times make the bad times worth it
