I am associate at Moore Stephens. I work in Corporate audit so day to day work involves either being at a client site or in the office and performing tests or other work for clients. Moore Stephens is a good size as it has meant i have had good exposure to tests in accounting which many people would not do for years to come at other firms. This has meant i have learnt at a fast yet very pleasing rate.
I am currently working towards my CFAB qualification, i have passed two exams and have another 4 to go till i obtain this qualification. I have also seen my confidence develop greatly as interact with clients and other collegues on a day to day basis. We also have internal training courses which has helped me to further my knowledge of auditing.
I very much enjoy the programme as it has given me another route in life, instead of university. I also believe it is good as it offers the potential to progress onto the ACA, which is a goal i am aiming for. All employees at Moore Stephens are kind and friendly which has helped when settling in.
I feel valued by Moore Stephens as we recieve regular feedback from job managers and seniors as they want us to progress as well.
We have a good team at Moore Stephens who are very friendly and very organised. They help with any queries we have and also check on us to make sure everything is going well. We also have all our exams scheduled in so we know exactly when we will be going to college and when we will be sitting our exams, a long time in advance.
We receive regular support and feedback. Any problems we have are adressed ASAP and sorted quickly.
I recieve support from my desk managers and the seniors on the job. There is also a good relationship between other employees on my programme which is good as we are able to support and help eachother when in need.
For my age and the position, the pay is good. During busy season hours can be long depending ion what desk/type of clients you work on which can often me you work much longer hours than others howevber receive the same pay.
There are regular events, social and sporting which is great to be involved in and good fun. I am competing with a team of others in Tough Mudder this summer
Yes
A great place to work in and offers a good platform to start/progress your career.
Be confident and not to stress as it is a very friendly environment to work in and you will feel this as soon as you start to work here.
