I'm a Marketing Assistant, and my job entails a lot of answering requests such as creating PO numbers, and organising data for the team. I do a lot of work with many people from our global team at TiGi too,
I currently working towards a level 3 in Business Admin, as well as learnt how to use new programs such as Oracle for a work environment.
I really enjoy my program and the work I do. My team is very friendly, and have helped to teach me how to do a huge amount of different tasks. The company culture is also so relaxed and friendly, which makes the workplace so much better to work in as well.
I feel very valued, as I have noticed all of my hard work has been paying off , since I have heard from a variety of people who have complimented me on my work, and made me feel like a valuable member of the team.
So far, the program has been well structured, and very clear on what I need to complete, and when I need to complete different tasks by to be successful. I have meetings with mentors often to check on progress, and the hierarchy within the team is minimal, which makes it such a comforting place to work.
I receive tonnes of support from them, with weekly catch ups, a number always available to call if I need help, and they have helped prepare and settle me into my role without any issues.
From my manager, I get plenty of support too. Every week we will have 1 or 2 catch ups depending on how busy it has been, to ensure I am able to cope with the work load, and know when to prioritise what. Further, they also help to accommodate me when the trains aren't working properly, and are a friendly person I can talk to if I feel the need.
My salary is amazing for an apprenticeship, and although I can't yet move out on it, but I have so much spare for any personal needs after all expenses during the month (trains, food and DD).
As I am not based within the core unilever site, I don't get as many opportunities as most, although I do have a good amount of options for events, but it isn't the best.
Yes
Most friendly company I have ever worked for, and people really do care about one another here.
Just be yourself, and give it your all. It isn't easy at all, and you will have to work hard to get and keep your place, but it is such a rewarding experience, and is worth it even if you don't make the job.
