On a day to day basis we are working as part of an audit team performing tasks set by the senior for us to do. There is also block releases where we will go to college and study for our exams.
I have learnt specific skills relating to the job that I am performing and also it has helped me with more general life skills such as time management and communication with others.
It is a challenging program however it is something that I enjoy doing and I am glad that I am on the program.
There is room for improvement in how EY shows value to the school leavers however I do not feel completely looked over.
There can be some changes to dates but I know the general structure of the training that I will undertake and feel this has been made clear from the start.
When at college the training provider is good and the tutors are very helpful however the website containing resources to revise from is not the best
There is always support from people in the teams that you are working in and there is also a good system set up for someone to talk to if you are working with them or not.
For a first year apprentice it is a good salary however there is a lot of work so I feel it is a fair one.
There are lots of opportunities to do extra curricular work and also to joining different societies to match your interests
Yes
It is a good opportunity for the future and one of the better apprenticeship schemes that I have come across in my research.
Make sure that it is something that you want to do and be prepared to work hard from the first day.
