Day to day I assist the team I am on with various tasks to complete the audit.
I am study for exams with ICAEW. I have learnt general personal and professional skills from my time spent on client work.
The work is okay and varies in interest depending upon what job you're on. The people you work with are nice. The company culture is lots of hours which you don't get paid for which is not what was expected. I expected to do some overtime which wouldn't be paid but I didn't expect the amount of unpaid overtime which you are expected to do.
I feel reasonably appreciated by my teams I work with but I am under sure as to my value to the company as a whole because the just seem to expect huge amounts of work for little pay.
The programme has definite organisation and I am studying but more study leave would be good.
I study at Kaplan. The tutors are helpful while you are there. At present I haven't yet emailed them with questions after my training so I can't comment on how helpful they are after your course and before the exam.
Everyone at EY has a counsellor who they can go to with problems which is good
The salary is low and for an area like Bristol which is becoming increasingly expensive to live in with fast rising house prices it is not enough. It is also not enough for the hours worked.
There are a few company events to attend and there are a few social clubs that can be attended.
Yes
If they wanted to become an accountant and were willing to work long hours for little pay then it is an okay place to study.
Take the application process seriously and try your best at each stage and you'll be fine
