Software Engineer, although have recently gone to a Technical Delivery Manager. It involves the use of the eBusiness suite Oracle application iBuy. This is where POs are raised for subcontractors and resources. Also currently doing some data analysis for Hyperion Essbase
I have obtained a Foundations degree in Software Engineering, a level 4 NVQ, many oracle qualifications and also Aptitude
Its great to always meet new people and be challenged with new problems that need to be solved. We also feature a very diverse and culturally interesting staff list
Very much so, I have a great manager. I can always get help when needed and always feel comfortable raising issues and asking for advice.
Academically it was very well organised, however some of the first year was a bit hairy as no one really knew what we could do or what work would be suitable for us. this makes sense though as the application can be complex and require a very broad knowledge base.
