My daily tasks involves managing few mailboxes for the team. One of my main responsibility is to process invoices payments for the team. I interact a lot with really senior stakeholders within the bank. I don't deal with external customers a lot but I do however work for a lot of internal senior stakeholders. You will learn a lot within the first 6 months.
Communications skills has increased significantly. Stakeholders management, coaching, presentation and speaking skills are the areas were I can see a significant difference after joing RBS
Work is good and team is the best team. Company culture is entirely different but it is easily adaptable.
Good appreciation on the programme from very senior people internally and externally.
Structured very well in terms of learning journey throughout the apprenticeship but not structured very in terms of what we learn from the job/ do on our role.
Good support but they don't know a lot about the apprenticeship in general.
You will get a buddy and a mentor as soon as you start with the bank. My team is always very very helpful in supporting me.
I am a commuter and hence travel eats half of my salary :(
Yes, there are so many networking events & opportunities, breakfast and lunch talks with Executives from the bank. There are also some sporting communities you can join too.

Best option/solution to get into banking at a young age!!!
Take your time and read some forums on banking interviews/apprenticeship interviews. If you know someone who works in the bank it does help!!!
