Data Analyst Review

In my current role I work on part of a project team developing new programmes specific to our business user requirements. We have many clients with lots of different needs therefore one day is never the same as the next and I am often working with many different people in different teams as the project needs people with various computer programming skills

I have learnt many skills, not just in terms of computer programming such as using java and other software packages but also team working skills, improving my communication and organisation skills and also been able to develop my analysis skills and consildation, being able to make decisions based on limited information.

I really enjoy my programme as I am able to learn new things and work with a variety of different people and on different projects every day. The work is also quite interesting and can be exciting, discovering new ways of doing things using new technology and being able to see something from start to finish

Capgemini really value their staff but can sometimes put pressure on you, which can be daunting as I am new to working and sometimes feel like I am being given too much expectation. I do not want to use my age as an excuse but sometimes the pressure can become quite intense. I am working with my manager though as she is being very supportive.

I am given a set timetable of the work I have to do as part of my apprenticeship, attending on-campus says but also evening webinars which are at set times. Though these are also recorded so I can go back to them and watch them again if I am unable to make the live session, it just means I am unable to ask questions there and then.

They are very supportive and provide information whenever it is requested. They manage the programme well and we always receive our timetables and information in good time before we start each module so we know what we are doing and are able to ensure that there are limited clashes with work-related projects

My employer is very supportive, as explained previously, but can someones but a little bit too much pressure on me at times when I feel it is a bit too much. My manager is being very supportive of me and is trying her best to ensure that I am being given help and guidance as I need it.

I feel it is better than other apprenticeships out there and that we are being paid an okay wage. It is okay for me as I live at home so do not have many bills to pay but it would be nice to know that at the end of it I will be able to go onto a better salary but also be able to put my new skills into practice

There are many social events that Capgemini organise but these are mainly at the start of the apprenticeship. I am not so bothered about doing activities outside of work and feel like my own time outside of work should be my own time and not reliant on other people in the work place as I like to keep to two things separate.

Yes

Capgemini are a good company but it depends on what sort of career you want and what type of personality you are. If you are a more bubbly outgoing character you will certainly fit in well with the company, not that you won't if you are not so outgoing as it will help you to come out of your shell a bit and interact more easily with people.

As I say you need to be sure that this is the company you want to work in and ask around. If you want to work with exciting projects and don't mind being under some pressure working to deadlines but really feeling part of a team then I would definitely recommend this for you
