  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Intern consultant. Analyse and evaluate effectiveness of internal communication schemes of clients. propose ideas to improve communications. This was done in small groups of 4-6 people. altogether there were 50 people on the work experience. the work experience program was called "Smart Futures". On other days we wold do workshops and improve skills such as presenting and team work. the days would start at 9am and end at roughly 5/6pm.

  • How to present to a large audience well and how to communicate with and lead groups effectively.

  • it was amazing and very unique.

  • it was great. we all knew what we would do on each day. there was support and excellent guidance with each task by employees of EY who had taken their time out to be apart of our work experience.

  • enough. it was all adequate.

  • they were always on hand to help us.

  • it was very well paid. the office was in london.

  • yes, there were regular dinners and events help. there were many sports teams too.

  • Yes

  • they provide a great support system and guidance in developing a great career as an accountant or consultant.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • enjoy every part of the process and even if you do not get in do not feel disheartened as it is a great learning experience for future job applications. they look for reasons to hire you, not for reasons to not hire you. do lots of research about the company before the interviews e.g. their clients, competitors, current activities and schemes they have put into place to improve their company. research the job well and what the role entails as you will be asked about this.
