  • Job title: Tax Technician Preparation of corporation tax returns for large companies. Preparing tax disclosures for accounts. Providing tax payments advice. Liasing with clients/HMRC.

  • Developed tax knowledge and skills. Improved communication and business skills, client handling, time management, project management. MS office.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I work in a good team and get on well with everyone I work with. I generally enjoy my job, although there is not as much variety as I had expected.

  • I feel very valued within my team and on a local basis, but overall less so given the size of the firm.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The aspects of apprenticeship are well structured and I receive all necessary support and guidance.

  • Tutors are available to answer questions outside of specific college time which is good, there is also support available online.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We have a dedicated professional qualifications team who provide support which is very useful. My people manager takes an active interest in my studies. My peers are also supportive and offer assistance.

  • Covers my living costs very well at the moment.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are regular social events, both organised by the firm and informally by colleagues. There are opportunities to get involved in sports as well.

  • Yes

  • There is a good working environment and a strong emphasis on developing individuals through training and experience.
