My job title is a mechanical enginner. I have just finished my full time placement at an engineering training center where i was gaining my NVQ L2 and my HNC. Since i finished there i have been put into a particular team where i am currently writing a report and test proceadure to carry out some needed tests on a unit we produce.
I have learnt the fundimentals of some enginnering machines at the training center. I have also gained some more theory based knowladge through my HNC course.
I enojy it when i am given tasks to do, sometimes its very slow finding me work to complete.
I feel that rolls royce value there apprentices and make sure they feel apart of the buisness and welcome at all times.
The structure of my programe has been fairly poor. Still unaware if my programe is 3 or 4 years. Furthermore no one is able to tell me what my options are after my 2 years hnc course. Also i have the wrong job title on my contract (Its states i am manufacturing
The level of support is reasonable. If i am stuck infomation is given to me.
The level of support i recieve from my employer is fairly high.
Currently i am finding it very hard to keep on top of my living costs or even to have a social life due to costs. This is partly because i had to move away from home for this job so i have a few more bills to pay. I had to get my self a second part time job to ensure i have enogh money on a monthly bases.
There are no job related opportunities out side of work. However i do go to the gym and play football for a team one day a week
