  • I was a work experience student, who had to complete a variety of tasks, everyday. the tasks were made very fun and the gradates with me were extremely helpful and friendly.

  • I learnt more about coding and electronics, I learnt team based skills and just overall engineering skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoyed the work, the team, and I made two new friends, and the graduates, were extremely helpful and friendly and it was a very very fun time, it blew my expectations out of the water, I loved it here and cant wait till I can come back.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by L-3 TRL?
  • very valued, everyone no matter what role they did from big scary executives or a group of graduate engineers they were all so so friendly, you can joke with them, ask serious questions they were all chilled and relaxed and just overall frindy

  • very organised, we knew what we were doing everyday and when we were going to do it.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • A LOT. not matter what it was, you could ask for help and it would be given, the team of graduates taking care of us were the most helpful people I've ever met.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • HR were very supportive, especially Eloise she was kind and funny and wasn't a scary corporate lady I expected her to be.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • 1/10

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • there is no work outside of TRL, but the work was so so chilled and fun there didn't need to be.

  • 9. Would you recommend L-3 TRL to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • because it was so laid back and chilled they was no real rush to complete a task and when you were doing a task if you needed help, there was no fear AT ALL to ask it was fun, interesting, and I learnt a lot.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to L-3 TRL?
  • be prepared to give a presentation, do a little on Python so you get an idea what your doing, but other than that nothing all the help and advice is provided at TRL.
