1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Senior associate, and interact with clients daily when field managing audits and playing roles in larger teams on bigger jobs. Partner interaction is becoming more common.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Currently studying for ACCA qualification, and been on a number of internal courses including ethical and money laundering regulation updates. Also had time invested in me to progress as an assistant manager and interact better with clients.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Ultimately it depends on who you work with. If youre working with people you get on with the working week flies by, but it can drag when youre put into a team youre not so keen on.

4. How valued do you feel by Deloitte?

Internal recognition has increased recently, with appraisals and feedback all being positive which improves how valued i feel.

Induction was ages ago, and not received much programme specific support or training as brightstart.

External training for accounting qualification is well supported, but internally the training has become more limited recently.

6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?

A lot of time has been invested in me recently in the appraisal process, and getting me to consider my options when i progress within the firm. I feel this has resulted in me being more engaged.

Extremely well for my age and experience.

Lost of social events within the department and office, and sports clubs.

Name for the CV, and a good place to train whilst still earning a competitive salary.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte?

Prepare well by knowing what Deloitte do and what markets they compete it. Try and attend an insight day to give yourself an edge over other applicants.
