I completely appreciate all the hard work put in for me to experience such an amazing place. It was fantastic to gain insight into the life of a junior doctor working in accident and emergency. Brilliant staff with a sense of humour as well as professionalism. I shadowed junior doctors as well as consultants as they offered medical advice to patients.
I have definitely developed some skills associated with patient care and my knowledge of a multidisciplinary team as broadened.
I loved it!!!! Being able to see patients in a vulnerable state made me appreciate the job I aspire towards.
This role did not involve me carrying out any particular tasks as it was just shadowing.
My programme was very well structured. Occasionally doctors may turn up late but that is to be expected due to the shortage of Nhs staff.
I received a lot of support. They were able to guide me to places and talked to me on a daily basis.
I received a lot of support as I was monitored on a daily basis.
