Simple shop work you'd expect in Boots such as cleaning the store up, restocking and serving customers.
It obviously helped a little with my retail experience but I was put on the placement to learn more about working in a pharmacy which never really happened.
It was nice to have a good team to work with in general but again the people I was supposed to be working under didn't really want me around and saw me as more of a nuisance than anything else which was unfortunate
In general the manager was really happy with me and the work I did so I felt very valuable to them at the time
Not at all as I was supposed to be working with the pharmacy and not in the retail part which was promised until my second day where they became "too busy" to have me around or show me anything
None at all
Boots did send me many opportunities after I left and that was very kind
I wasn't on alot of money an hour but I didn't have alot of costs at the time as I still lived at home and could walk to work
No
No
Not very well organised for such a large company but that way of been down to the shop itself or the co-ordinator
Make sure that they understand why you are coming and don't let them just stick you on tills
