I have been so many opportunities with the ICE quest scholarship through Interserve Construction. This includes summer work placements throughout my degree during which I am placed on one of their sites to gain valuable experience that puts me ahead of my peers. The projects are always exciting but can be challenging at times but the learning experience is second to none. During my summer holidays from university I am placed on site and faced with many exciting and rewarding opportunities.
Teamwork is the biggest skill to learn when working with a team on site; no one person can do a job perfectly and it needs input from all sides to make a job successful. I have always been a shy person but working on site has given me so much confidence to ask people for help and advice.
This programme has given me so many incredible opportunities and I am so lucky to have had these experiences. As it's directly related to the career I want to pursue, I find it exciting and very rekavent to my degree.
Extremely valued. I'm treated as an equal and encouraged by all members of staff. There are also many opportunities I am encouraged to take part in such as meetings and charity events.
Very well oraganised. My placements are organised efficiently with plenty of time for me to sort out accommodation etc and while I am working during my placement there are many opportunities for me to partake it organised by the company.
Immediate support if I need it, I have been given contact details and can get in touch very easily and any problems bought up are quickly solved.

As a placement student I am payed more than my peers but also receive allowances for travel and accommodation. My salary allows me to live, travel and save money also.
Lots of opportunities that the company encourage. These include meetings and seminars run my ICE and IStrucE all of which are informative and insightful into modern technology or other companies.
