Shaddowing a pharmacist watching prescriptions being made and clinical and legal checks on the prescriptions being made
Seen how to deal with certain situations such as what to do when a prescription is clinically and legally incorrect and how to go about rectifying it
Really enjoy it as it is what I am wanting to do as a career
Certain people such as the head pharmacist I feel very valued by as they appreciate my time however feel less value from supervisors/other employees
At the beginning there was confusion as to why I was there on placement from the main store team however this was sorted out bumpy the pharmacist
I am given advice however as I am only still a student and not yet qualified I am limited to what I can do
I am not employed as I am on placement
Unpaid as I am on placement
Little yet as I am only a first year
Yes
Lots of customers so can get a good feel for the job and well trained pharmacists
Ensure that you specifically talk to the person in charge of your placement and get them to meet with you upon arrival as other people were confussed as to why I was there
