I work as a Website Developer for The Co-operative Electrical, my day to day roles vary as I speak with the buyers on a regular basis to find out what they want to appear on the website. I have a few tasks that i repeat daily and on-going long term projects. I also manage every image that comes onto the site to make sure it meets quality standards and to edit it if necessary.
I have learned a large amount of skills in this role. I can now use HTML and CSS for developing the website, a lot of experience in Photoshop. Some of the skills I have developed over this time have been prioritizing my workload and Excel skills.
I have had a great time on my programme, I've met a lot of new people and it's helped transition myself from a student into a young professional.
I feel like I bring a lot to the table within my role and I've contributed a variety of good works for my department.
I'd say it's pretty standard structure without many faults.
I got a lot of help from my training provider, I was able to contact them whenever I felt like it for support or advice.
I have a good relationship with my managers so I can talk to them about most things. They give me all the support I need.
I think it is adequate for a starting job, it covers the essentials which then provides incentive to work harder to progress.
There are plenty as we are in the center of a city, I moved from way down south so it was a big adjustment for me but there are so many things to help introduce you to the city here.
Yes
It is a great learning place with a good environment, I had a great time which I wouldn't trade for anything.
Try focus on the ethics as that is a big plus to the co-op. It's not about who you are on paper, but who you are in the room when doing interviews, I had not the best CV when I applied but they saw potential which can take you a long way!
