  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My job at M & S involved being a supervisor of the food court staff at the front of the store. Daily tasks would involve planning the structure of the day in terms of how the staff would operate (stock checks, till service). From time to time i would coordinate the staff directly during my shifts or organise patterns with the managers. Other responsibilities I had were ensuring the store closed on time without anyone running over hours and maintenance of the self service tills. As part of the course, projects involved a case study on how far customers had travelled to visit our local store each day.
