I completed a week-long placement in the tax department where initially I would learn about wealth and asset management and funds etc. before moving onto more practical activities involving these topics.
I believe I have further developed interpersonal skills (communication etc.) and key skills involving IT.
I enjoyed the programme very much, I found it to be a slightly more relaxed working environment than I anticipated, with the team being very welcoming and the work being an appropriate level.
I do, as I would find it hard for team members to trust someone on work experience with one of their various, key projects.
Very well, I think there is a good balance between more physical and one-to-one learnng and between online learning. There is also always someone on hand to assist you if required, which is a bonus when doing some work you are unfamiliar with.
The induction was useful to get my bearings, while the online learning sessions were very beneficial too.
As much as I required, the on-going support from team was great in getting to grips with the tasks I completed.
Very well, the only costs I encountered was the train in and lunch on a couple of days, as much was kindly provided and bought for me by members of the team.
There are many communities and groups within the firm, while there are also multiple other groups and teams on a social level.
Yes
All members of staff I encountered were very helpful and welcoming, while the tasks I was given were at the correct level with a flexible time-frame to complete.
The application process may be long and almost excessive, but the experience is very valuable.
