My work experience role was in the transaction tax department, therefore helping out with mergers and acquisitions and the problems that come with the deals. For example activities which are carried out are tax due diligence, which is looking into a companies financial activities to make sure no issues arise and also tax structuring, which is dealing with how the shares are sorted to make sure the taxes paid are dealt with properly.
I have learnt through a range of Skype sessions the different ways of building your own personal brand and professional writing. I feel these have given me a good insight into the skills I need to develop into the future.
I enjoyed it thoroughly, staff were very friendly and willing to speak to you.
I feel that I was valued due to the fact tasks were handed to me which would go to clients, I took on a large number of roles.
Very well structured, days had timing and events, also a calendar was presented to us.
Had a counsellor and buddy who I could report back to and get feedback from.
A lot of guidance was given when handling activities.
