Your PwC buddy will meet you at your base office at 9:30 where you will explore the office and set up on your laptop. The rest of the week follows the same pattern, other than exploring the office - with a few webex's and meetings during the day (s). The associates are very friendly and welcoming, making the experience a whole lot better than competitors work experience projects. At the end of the week there is a group excercise in which students come together to produce a presentation on their chosen subject: technology or sustainability.
I have developed my knowledge of expectations in a professional environment, such as body language and language. Moreover, i have learnt about accounts with the auditors which is very interesting, as well as exploring internal auditing and discussing with my buddy the wide ranging opportunities that PwC has to offer.
I really enjoy the programme, so much so i highly recommend it to anyone thinking of pursuing a career in business, or anyone who may not - this experience could change your mind completely.
I feel that the organiser Katherine Bond has welcomed us and made us feel appreciated as future talents.
I was sent a plan at the start of the week and understand what each day will entail. Any issues are swiftly sorted by Katherine Bond and she supports us a lot.
Laura Blackledge made me feel at ease and showed me everything i needed to know during my week, from laptop support to seeing how accountants work.
Both Laura and Katherine have really supported me and swiftly answered any questions that I have had. They have encouraged me to challenge myself.
We are paid for the week and have transport refunded.
The social activites sound amazing, sports day on Friday and cricket on Monday. There is a really nice working environment at PwC, with everyone getting along and socialising outside of work.
Yes
It is a stable career path with rewarding achievements, such as career progression and personal development. PwC are one of the big four, and in my opinion the company most welcoming to students and willing to facilitate them - as such, the Business Insight Week is great.
Practise the psychometric tests online and stay calm. The organisers are so friendly and willing to support you during the process. The telephone interview was exciting and gave me my first interview exposure, the assessment was interesting and worthwhile.
