On the 1st and 5th day we were based in Bristol where everyone from the Bristol and Birmingham office met each other. On the 1st day we were given an overview of PwC, the different business areas, interactive games, skills sessions and laptop setup. On the 5th day we will do our group presentation on either Sustainability or Technology. On days 2-4 we spent it in the Birmingham office where I shadowed my buddy in assurance, spoke to other staff in different departments and watched the WebEx skill sessions.
I have developed many skills from the skills sessions and WebEx's. I enhanced my communication, networking and teamwork skills from working on the group presentation and interacting with staff.
I enjoyed my time here alot. Everyone who works at PwC and the other students on the Business Insight Week were extremely friendly and I felt very comfortable to ask questions and for advice. It was nice to have a break at lunch time, especially going out with the other buddies and BIW students.
I feel very valued by PwC as I was chosen to attend this programme out of over 1000 applicants. PwC are very friendly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
the 1st and 5th day in the bristol office was structured and there was an agenda. However day 2-4 in Birmingham shadowing people was less organised. This is because there wasnt always work available to do. However, there was a lot of activities to do to pass the time.
Support was given when with the training provider.
A lot of support. Can easily email
Salary is more than expected!!! Travel for day 1 and 5 is reimbursed up to £150.
