My job title is Intern. Daily tasks included creating presentations, workshops and working in a real business environment for five days. This included shadowing real accountants and visiting client sites.
I have gained a level two cmi management qualification. I have gained valuable confidence improvements and presentational skills. This has helped me gain skills to become a good team leader.
I really enjoyed working in the business environment for five days. The presentations were good as they gave me valuable skills. I enjoyed meeting new people that were very good to us. The company made us feel very welcome and looked after us.
I felt very valued by every team member as they took the time to teach me and answer any questions I had.
This programme is very well structured.
I gained a lot of support from our training provider as well as any other staff that helped us with any of the tasks.
As much support as I needed to have.
It covered my costs very comfortably.
Yes, there was a team run that was available for example.
Yes
It is a great, paid, opportunity that gives real work experience that helps your CV stand out. The CMI qualification gives a very good look on my CV and may help me get a job in the future. The people I have met are there to help with any queries that I have in the future and will support me.
The application process is quite long with a lot of documents to sign, make sure you are available to sign documents for deadlines for security. There is a phone interview that you have to be prepared for and can be quite a nervous experience. Overall it is good to apply but you have to be ready for a long process.
