  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Audit Trainee. Ensure clients financial statements give a true and fair view of a companies transactions. Alot of the job is client facing, rarely in the office. 2 main phases to the job. Planning and Audit. Planning is where we run throiugh client systems to understand how they operate and what controls they have in place. This is useful when designing tests for the audit and knowing who to speak to and where to find information. The audit is where we carry out the tests which have been designed and check materiat statements of a clients FS are true and fair

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • So far no problems. i had a few issues at the start (As did others) over my coursework. I was confused as to what we actually had to complete and by when. This is the only informaiton i wanted to know as well. So when we had 4 days to perofmr a presentaiton and document everything, admittedly i started panicking abit when i had limited knowledge of what tasks i was actually asked to complete and what tasks could be completed at a later date.
