I was an EY intern. My role centered on working through a series of logs with regards to leadership & management. I spent the third week of the two week programme at the home office Visas & immigration.
Yes, I have had learnt a series of new skills such as information on how to perform tier one visa administrative review for the UK home office in accordance with the UK immigration act (2016) and statutory instruments. I also developed my presentation skills.
I enjoyed my programme unspeakably because it taught me things about leadership and management I would not have been able to conceive of before the experience.
I feel very valued by EY. The foundation invested in us and provided us with tuition & lunch rendering us in the best possible position to actualize our potential.
Our programme clearly had a great deal of thought put into it because every day there was a new & exciting challenge.
We received immeasurable support from our training providers. This extended to help both with skills and qualification-related support.
We received a lot of support from our employer including tax & audit industry experience for those of who did not go to the home office.
My salary package exceeded my costs by a ratio of roughly 1:5
There are additional networking opportunities outside of work such as Nando's meetings with fellow interns.
Yes
I'd recommend it because it is a fantastic opportunity to enhance one's CV or university application.
Focus on the bigger picture. Think internationally and give consideration to how the industry may be different in ten years time.
