Smart Futures Programme which lasted 3 weeks. The first two weeks consisted of workshops teaching valuable skills and solving real life business problems in order to increase out business problems. In the third, Business Experience, week, we were doing real life work, that employees also do. This gave us an insight into a working environment and standards that are expected of us.

I enjoyed the work in the Business Experience Week as it gave us an insight of possible future tasks we could be expected to carry out. The team who ran the programme were friendly and approachable which allowed me to further enjoy the programme as it was a positive environment.
I feel valued by EY as in the third week I was given real life work, which is reflective of the value they feel. In addition to this, we were always given positive feedback, recognition and appreciation.
The programme was well structured as there were set tasks organised for certain days. In addition to this, there was clear communication both prior to and during the programme to ensure efficiency.
After the programme, we are assigned a mentor to support us throughout the final year of school to provide guidance and help when needed. This is greatly valued by me.
We receive support from the people who run the programme, who are our point of contact. Additionally, they are open to supporting us when we need it.
The salary meets my costs as it is very competitive.
We are invited to alumni events after the programme finishes.
