In the morning we generally took part in seminars by members of the Pinsent Masons team, for example informing us on routes into law careers. We then joined diverse practice groups, mine were commercial, projects and property, giving us an experience of different areas of the legal sector. This also meant integrating with different teams which helped me to gain an insight into the culture of the firm.
I've learnt a great deal about the process of becoming a lawyer as well as the diverse range of areas covered in a firm as large as Pinsent Masons. I've also learnt more about using attention to detail and the daily work of a trainee solicitor. Also, using legal terminology and software was a valuable experience, especially for those wanting a future career in law.
I really enjoyed the programme, aspects such as the mock employment tribunal were both fun and informative. Meeting the other work experience students was also fun as we got to know each other fairly well.
Getting to work alongside legal directors in an open plan office meant I really felt valued. The diverse range of activities planned for us also showed that the firm had invested a lot in ensuring we had a brilliant experience.
Very well structured, each day was planned from start to finish with rotating practice groups to allow us to experience more areas of the business. A Rota was provided for us at the beginning of the week so we knew what our schedule was on each day of the programme.
As much as you need - everyone is so approachable

You are provided with a £5 voucher for a meal on your first day, the work experience is voluntary
I'm keeping in touch with the other work experience students, other than that there was a netball match which we could have taken part in, so plenty of opportunities
Yes
The firm has really fantastic values and the programme is a great insight into law, regardless of whether you're certain about what career is for you.
Just be yourself and check the deadlines for applications carefully
