Work Experience Placement Review

I spent 1 week on a work experience placement at Pinsent Masons. My daily tasks were varied and different but always interesting. I was lucky enough to be sat next to a trainee and partner of the firm, so I had plenty of variety around me. I was given tasks by people from all levels within the firm. Ranging from research tasks to administrational tasks.

The main skill I have learnt/improved upon is time management. To be able to complete a given task in the timeframe specified you need to learn how to manage your time effectively. Communicational skills are paramount in a law firm. Luckily I have had the chance to refine these skills.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my work experience placement. I have been made to feel very welcome and have had genuine enjoyment from taking part. The company is such a friendly and welcoming place to be. It has meet and exceeded my expectations.

I felt very valued by everyone at Pinsent Masons. Whether they were are trainee or partner, they have accepted me and made me feel a valued member of the team.

I was never sat there not knowing what to do. There were always tasks to be done and the day itself was very well structured.

I received all the support I required.

My supervisor was fantastic and answered any queries I had. They were very friendly and really wanted to support me.

We were given a £5 lunch voucher each day. This was more than enough to buy everything I needed.

On the whole, Pinsent Masons is just a thoroughly welcoming place to be. I was made to feel part of the team right from the off and feel as though I have learnt so much even in a short space of time.
