I was a work experience student. I was given admin tasks on the level of trainee work. I was introduced to everyone in each department when I arrived so I continually interacted with everyone. We were given a talk in the mornings about different department in the firm form the trainees who work in them. For the rest of the day we would do work in a department. We were given constructive feedback on every piece of work. On the Tuesday we were given many documents and evidence and roles to act out a mock employment trial on Friday morning.
I have definitely improved my social skills and confidence as I had to work with many different people throughout the week.
I enjoyed the varied work I got to do. The team were all extremely welcoming and friendly. I was very impressed with the company culture and environment of them firm. The week exceeded my expectations. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
All the trainees were extremely grateful for the work we would do and always made sure we knew they were pleased. I certainly felt valued.
The week was very well structured. We always had something to do and an activity was organised for us for every morning.
Our supervisors were extremely supportive of us. They always gave us constructive feedback and praised us for doing well. The supervisors were all very kind.
