  • I basically work as a store assistant and act as the exact role that they are. This includes stock rotation. Till work and refilling stock

  • I would say that my people skills have gradually got a lot better due to having to make conversations with people

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really do enjoy it. The staff are probably my favourite part of working at Aldi they are always nice. Of course there are some people that aren’t that great but I think it’s like that everywhere

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Aldi?
  • Can be a tough one to be honest because I always feel that I ain’t doing a good enough job. I would like to hope that the staff are only encouraging me to work harder but sometimes it does feel like it’s because I ain’t doing a good enough job.

  • Not much to say in this it is very well organised and I always receive help

  • My tutor is lovely and lays it all out for me during a visit and clearly tells me what needs to be done

  • I never really receive support as there sometimes can be points where communication is low. The deputy’s need more credit as they have helped me more than anyone else has

  • Very well one thing to say is that Aldi’s wage is very good especially for my age

  • Once I have received my NVQ I would say that that would open up many different gates for me

  • Yes

  • Has overall been a great experience and a eye opener to the world of work


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
  • If you think it will be a easy job because it’s a supermarket then think again. Aldi is very hard work and the managers say so themselves. Try to make a good impression when you go for your interview
