when I first start on a morning I have to go to the department Im on and press the button. then I do the task im given for the day. my responsibility's at the moment on the Racking team are the make sure the racking is not damages, the palates are in the right slot and to see if the reach truck drivers have put the pallets in the correct place in the racking.
I have learned how to drive a picker truck whilst ive been here. unfortunately im only 16 so can not be trained on and other trucks. I have learned a lot of health and safety whilst ive been here which has benifited me. the programme has also increased my confidence a lot since I started.
I enjoy most of the work given to me except from a lot of the checks I have been given. the people in the warehouse are all nice people who you can have a laugh with. it is a lot better than what I thought it would be like.
I feel just like I have as much appreciation as every other employee in the warehouse and I am thanked for most of the tasks I am given.
I think the program is well organised. on the induction days I was shown round the whole warehouse in depth and told a lot of information. This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions has been a great help and always is there if I need to talk to him about something. I have also been in a couple of meetings whilst ive been here to inform me on what is going on.
I have been given a login so I can do training online. during work every week I am getting GCSE English lessons so I can re sit my exam. I also get a meeting once a month where someone from mantua comes the the warehouse and asks us how we are doing and informs us on the program.
The managers frequently check on me to make sure I am ok, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] mostly. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] comes and asks me how im finding it aswell sometimes.
I think the salary is ok for me since I live at home so I don't have many bills. I pay my mam rent every month then I have money for other things. I am currently saving up for a car so I can get to work easier on a morning. I get to work on a morning by bike so it does not cost me anything. I only live about 20 minutes away by bike.
there are a lot of charity events in work time and out work time.
Yes
because the salary is great and because its a good work place to be at. also you don't have to worry about loosing your job as long as your doing what you've been told to do.
in the Interview make sure the have researched aldi before hand so the know about the awards aldi has been awarded and some knowledge about it. this will increase the chances of getting the job as it is what I did.
