I am an apprentice lift engineer with stannah lifts. I am currently completing a nvq level 3 in lift engineering activities. My day to day activities involve helping to refurb and install new lifts as I am currently working with the repair team. My first year of the apprenticeship program was completed at college.
I have learned many new skills while working with stannah. All the new skills I am currently learning are helping me to complete my apprenticeship and also help out of work. I have also developed many existing skills while completing my apprenticeship
I enjoy coming to work and learning new things, I feel the programme is well suited to me and I enjoy the new challenges it has given me
I feel valued at work as everyone is very friendly and supportive. All engineers I have worked with take there time and explain new things to me
The apprenticeship programme at stannah is well structured and lauded out well. It is realativley easy to follow.
My training provider is in touch with me every so often to ensure I am understanding of what is expected of me. We have a review every 12 weeks to see my progress
My employer offers me all the support I need to complete my programme. If I am ever stuck I can ask anyone for help and they will willingly provide
The package offerd by stannah meets my costs very well and is more than adequate for my needs
Now and again opportunity’s arasie outside of work. These are usually fundraising events for charity which always do well
Yes
Yes I would as I have had no bad experiences with the company and all who work at it are very friendly and understanding
I would advise people to apply to work at stannah as it is a good company from my experience and they will listen to anything you have to say
