As an apprentice we rotate throughout all sectors of the company in 6-9 months rotations. For each sector we are given work from the very start from talking to clients or performing testing.
I am working towards my professional qualification (chartered accountant). Courses are constantly available to develop the skills needed by the sector you are in and they are communicated well to everyone. All the time your personal and professional skills are being developed.
I enjoy the programme very much, the people and the company are friendly and always happy to assist with any problems. Everyone is supportive with exam pressures. The only downside I have witnessed is the workload at the start can either be really little, if it is not busy season, however this soon picks up and you are involved in lots of projects. Or the workload can be big from the start, however constant communication with your team means that it is easily manageable.
At KPMG you get made to feel like an equal even from more qualified and more experienced team members, your work/input is always valued as the work you do contributes to the project.
The programme is well structured which is communicated to you from the start and throughout the programme. The programme isn't organised as well however it is still very organised, KPMG receive feedback from previous apprentices and adapt the course as a result thus making it better.
Everyone I have encountered on this programme have been very supportive, whether that be tutors in the classroom making sure your questions are answered in a way you understand or colleagues ensuring the work they set is understood fully to ensure you are confident in the work you produce.

The salary received is very competitive with other rival companies. In addition small things such as a meal allowance make food easily affordable. Furthermore transport for example to/from clients is refundable so the main costs associated with working here is travel to and from your office and clothes.
Each team are constantly running events to keep all the sector involved and enthusiastic. Employees are allowed 6 volunteer days a year so that you can help out your local community etc. KPMG provide many sports teams/clubs for a variety of different sports and activities.
Yes
All of the points mentioned in previous questions make KMPG one of the best employers to work for.
Be Yourself throughout and be confident in what you do as there will always be support if something doesn't go your way the first time.
