On a day to day basis it can vary a lot depending on job progression or targets for the week, sometimes I will work in a pair and tackle jobs taking equal responsibility to achieve the best possible results, and on the other hand I also work in large squads and play a small part in that squad to achieve a much large job
I have learned many new skills, both physical and mental I have leaner a lot of different techniques to achieve what I need to and I also have gained lots of knowledge due over the past few years that will help me for years to come
I do very much enjoy my apprenticeship so far and hope it continues as it has been over the past few months
I don’t feel valued by SSE as a whole but I feel valued as an individual within the squad I work eg: engineer, supervisor and tradesman
I feel the programme could be made better for up coming apprentices so they may get the most out of this learning period
I feel we receive a good level of support from our training provider, we can call whenever we feel the need to and always get help or advice when and where possible
I feel I recive okay amount of support from my employer being the company as we do have things available to us but there isn’t a lot of personal support for employees
I feel it’s a not bad salary, in comparison to other people on site such as laboures on site making more than the top level apprentice wage that’s the only downside downfall
