I am currently an apprentice team secretary. I look at the system and keep up with work flow from the accountants. I also make sure that everyone post gets to them. I also will eventually get to look after stakeholders of the company
I will be getting a level 3 in business administration once this apprenticeship has finished. I have been on some internal training courses which allows me to develop my secretarial skills. I have been able to develop skills such as communication skills as I have to make sure that everything I have done is communicated to the person who sent over the work
I really enjoy this programme as I feel like I fit well in the team and the team gels well together to help each other finish jobs. I also really enjoy doing the work. the company is also very good at hosting events which are sometimes organised by secretaries. the company meets my expectations very well as I have learnt a lot.
I feel valued at KPMG as I get appreciation when I complete work to a high standard from managers. I also receive a lot of appreciation from my manager and team
The induction was the only downside to this programme because it wasn't based on my programme it was based on the accountants apprenticeship. although the support is excellent what I receive from my team.
I am really left to my own devises, I don't really get much communication from my assessor
I receive a lot of support and encouragement from my manager and team. they give good guidance when I need help with tasks and are always willing to help
The salary is excellent it allows me to live and have spare money to do things which I enjoy
There are some opportunities outside of work, such as helping out with events sometimes they can be before and after work. we are able to take 6 days of the year t o do voluntary work in the community.
Yes
Excellent company to work for, there are also many opportunities to take.
the on boarding process takes a while. they provide you with a person who you can ask any question you think of which is good so you know what you can expect
