My role as a customer service assisstant consists of various responsibilities including till support, answering queries from customers, working with stock and completing activities using the HHT's. My day could involve every aspect mentioned, or even just one, i have a different experiance each and every day!
I have largely worked on my confidence issues and can now interact with customers without any feelings of anxiety or self consciousness. However i have learnt many new skills such as how stocktakes work by conducting my own miniture version, and how to operate the different aspects of the till so i can now confidently assist and teach new staff members.
Althought some days are stressful and difficult i know that i have a very supportive team who praise me and support me throughout my experiance in this programme, and whos company i thouroughoy enjoy which makes it all worth while. I can honestly say i enjoy my apprenticeship very much and always get the help i need.
I feel very valued by A.S. Watson, reasons being i am always provded my hours study each week and offered help and support if necessary, the team i work with are consistenly friendly and open and i look forward to working with each and every one each day, and the whole programme as a whole has never once made me question my decision to apply.
I would say very well structured because i am always given my study time each week, and if for some reason i have to miss out on it i am always provided with the opportunity to reschedule if necessary. My hours are regular and manageable making it easy to make plans around them etc. And if i need to alter them at all by swapping shifts my managers always find a way to make it happen.
I recieve regular visits and am always supplied with plenty of work to complete between visits, which is then always marked and feedback given to improve and get the best out of me during the programme to make the final result the best it can possibly be.
My employer trains me well and always ensures i am 100% confident doing something before allowing me to carry it out solo, meaning i am never rushed and know where to go if i have a lack of understanding.
I am always able to manage my costs to suit my salary, and compared to many other programmes i came across this one provides a very decent wage which i feel lucky for.
There is not high unemployment in the area and there are many colleges and opportunities for higher education, however none suited to what i want to progress a career in therefore when i came across A.S. Watson i was relieved to find something well suited to my ambitions.
Yes
Because the programme itself has benefited me greatly and i would enjoy seeing friends benefit in the same ways i have.
Be prepared to be tested to your limits but also remember it is all worth it in the end, as the possibilities after compketing the programme are endless!
