I am currently on a Supply Chain apprenticeship which involves moving around the various departments as well as experiencing the role at a power station. A few of the teams I get to go in are commercial, operations, projects and governance. All of these involve providing proactive supporting to the wider team as well as taking on responsibility/ownership of certain tasks. Due to the variety of the teams, day to days tasks change on a regular basis giving me a good overview of the Supply Chain function within EDF Energy.
Academically studying business management and personal development skills such as confidence through networking and willing to take ownership for tasks which are out of my comfort zone.
Really enjoy the apprenticeship scheme and glad I took the decision not to go to University and take a year to get on to the programme.
The company really values the apprentices and feel like I get treated just like a normal employee.
A very well structured scheme, giving apprentices a great overview of the Supply Chain function throughout the business. As well as being very flexible providing support for academic study.
Have so much support such as a Line Manager, Mentor, Sponsoring Manager and all the teams I have been in so far, I have had a large amount of support.

Even though I have had to relocate, the current salary for the apprenticeship level I am on is sufficient to meet my cost of living.
They is many opportunities to get involved with things outside of work, whatever your interests are.
Yes
Great company, secure, opportunities, training, family environment and the nature of the work (industry) I find very interesting.
Take as many opportunities that come your way and don't be afraid to relocate.
