i am a Development Apprentice, my day to day jobs involve ordering and collecting samples, planning taste panels, booking couriers and hire cars, supporting the hole team with jobs that need to be carried out. sourcing of new raw materials and much more!
Time Keeping- this has been a massive thing that i have learnt being able to jungle day to day jobs and being able to mange my time well and complete work to deadlines.
i really enjoy my program! there is always new and interesting stuff to learn and every day is different. there are many challenges to face and lots of new people to meet.
Bakkavor made me feel very welcome from the start i feel like a very important member of the team and they are very good at rewarding people for good work!
The only Complaint would be at the start of the course there was a lot of problems with communication between my company and the college and even now i think there is a lack of communication.
i get lots of support, i have been struggling with my assignments so my training provider has been really helpful and took the time to help.
My employer has been really good, anything i have needed they have sorted out straight away, and they have really helped me through assignments
i struggle a little due to being 18 and living on my own and paying rent and petrol and car cost to work and back. i spend just about £60 a week on petrol to work and back. and with bills and things to pay at home its tight.
yes, we are already taking part in charity events and its great to take charge of that!
