I am a Funeral Arranger and I meet with the families of the recently deceased and arrange funerals. This entails adhering to all legal requirements and company protocol.
I have learnt many skills throughout my time.
I enjoy my programme of work. it is highly satisfying.
I feel valued. There are of course some issues that need improving for example I feel we are sometimes left ill-informed with regards to proposed changes.
The initial training was a shambles. My sign up was delayed, there was poor communication and Learn - Direct allocated me two tutors who failed to turn up at appointments. It was only when I highlighted this that the issue was resolved an a new tutor was allocated. She was excellent and I completed my NVQ in less that six months.
As stated earlier. Lean Direct were exceptionally poor in the early stages however once my third tutor was allocated everything progressed.
They have been very supportive.
Its fine
Yes of course there are opportunities in any walk of life to progress outside of work
Yes
Because I believe they have the interest of staff at heart. The grass is not always greener.
