My role involves working with the HR department closely with the office manager and executive assistant to the HR EMEA managing directors. My role involves supporting the department in regards to admin.
Throughout my apprenticeship I have been enrolled into a Business Admin Level 3 course. Due to working with the office I have developed skills such as confidence and more of an understanding of how HR supports an organisation.
I have fully enjoyed my programme.
Everyone I have worked with at Nomura has been very kind and welcoming, answering all of my questions.
The apprentice programme is structured well, with support when needed.
With my course I have attended 6 days at the training providers offices taking day course and in addition have a 1-1 meeting with my assessor every 6 weeks to check my work and make sure I am on target.
Since starting at Nomura I have received a large amount of support from my employer and colleagues.
I am happy with my salary.
There are many opportunities outside of work. There is a variety of society's to join, such as football to Japan club. There are also regular quiz nights for different departments and an annual Nomura quiz night.
Yes
I have enjoyed my time working for Nomura and would recommend it to anyone.
Before the interview research different questions which you may be asked. I was asked standard questions such as "What do you think your strengths and weaknesses are", but also asked questions such as "Where do you see yourself in 20 years" and "What annoys you". My advice would be, to be prepared for a variety of different questions.
