Job Role: Trainee Quantity Surveyor General Daily Tasks: Shadowing mentor contacting subcontractors gathering/sorting information and details (provided by subcontractors) sit in on meetings (taking notes for future reference and personal development) taking and analysing measurements Sending out enquiries to subcontractors for prices of specific jobs comparing returned enquiries putting orders together
Personal Skill Development: skills I have developed the most Organisation and time management. Both the job role and University are a lot easier if you can keep on top of things and not leave anything to the last minute Qualifications: Undergoing a Part Time University course (1 Day a Week) training provided upto date: CSCS Card Safe 2 Go
Good start to the role, had a good induction to the company; rotated around different departments within the company to get a better understanding of different roles and responsibilities. Rotating through different departments also gave us a chance to meet different people and put names to faces I have been welcomed by all colleagues I've crossed paths with so far
Welcomed by all colleagues I have worked with so far Currently working within a good team of people, everyone is easy going and help is always at hand if ever needed. I feel I have been involved in projects/tasks that will benefit me and help with progression effort that is put into the role is recognised and noted
I fell I have had good induction into the company, Started off with a rotation through different departments to get a feel for, and a better understanding of the background of the company/role support/help is always at hand if needed provided with different training opportunities within early stages of the role that help with development
