My current role is gaining the qualifications and experience I need to work on an EDF nuclear power station at the end of my programme. This includes attending lectures and lessons given by instructors that allow me to carry out the work needed for the qualifications. This is for the first 2 years. After this I spend the second 2 years on the power station using the skills I have learnt and applying them to real situations on site.
Yes I have learnt a range of new skills that I will need in future on site and gained experience that will help me.
It is a great programme that helps me really well with the work I need to complete to finish my course.
All employees are made to feel valued by the company.
