class room and workshop based learning, usually delivered by 1 or 2 instructors with group work and individual tasks. After each module there is an exam.
I have learnt and improved my public speaking and presentation skills, I have also learnt a lot about health and safety. i have improved existing skills in hand tools and the use of test equipment.
I enjoy the program quite a bit however I feel it is a bit restrictive in the things that can be done one a weekend or outside of working hours. since it is a residential program but there is a ban on all vehicles. I feel a lot more life skills would be gained from the experience of living away from home if we were able to venture out further.
I feel valued at edf
the program is quite well organised and there is a large variety of courses that we do, I feel some could be condensed into short times and some need longer time to complete however on the whole it is organised well.
I receive as much support as i need by the training provider.
i receive as much support as i need form my employer
the salary is good for apprentices especially as it includes meals and travel.
there are a lot of opportunities outside work however getting to them is a bit of a struggle with the only option being public transport as there is a car ban. this also limits going to places with poor public transport or that is too exspensive to reach.
Yes
because you gain good qualifications and a good job at the end of the course.
try and do as much as possible whilst down here.
