Audit Associate, substantively testing financial accounts where I get to engage with fellow members of my company actively being involved in high level discussions. I am also responsible for liaising with my clients in a professional manner in order to get the answers I require. In some cases these people hold high positions within global company's. I am involved in multiple projects throughout my placement do to my client portfolio, so often have to address different and unseen tasks.
Training towards my ACA chartered accountant qualification, this degree programme leaves me with only 2 more final exams to sit and 80% of my training time under my belt. It's the fastest way to qualify professionally and still attain a degree. I have also developed extensive excel skills along side communication skills.
I enjoy it thoroughly!

As it constantly develops as a result of direct feedback given from students. I feel the structuring is very tailored and works well.
Newcastle university, PwC and ICAEW offer a great support network. You have a relevant person to turn to for any instance of concern.
Due to the nature of the timings when we come in for placement (busy season) it is sometimes less of a support system felt from PwC side, as everyone in the office is so busy for the time we are there.
very well. We are extremely well compensated. The compensation has allowed me to experience some amazing places in the world that without I never would have had access too. It has taught me a lot.
Not many opportunities due to the timing of our placements being at the firms busiests time.
