It was an insight into the way EY works, and the types of services they offer to clients. We were taken through lots of interactive workshops based on building the skills we need for the workplace. There was also opportunities to network with employees in the firm and socials in the evening which were great fun.
I developed self-confidence and improved my presentation skills through the case study activity. I also developed networking skills and learnt how to present myself in interviews.
It was really good - I met some fantastic people and learnt a lot about myself and the way I work, as well as the skills employers (in particular EY) are looking for. The people were all really friendly and welcoming. The staff were all helpful and answered all our questions
Extremely valued - our accommodation was paid for, we had socials every evening and each day was full of activities so there was never a boring moment! We were recognised throughout with lots of mini competitions, and feedback was always positive and constructive.
Extremely well structured - there was always a plan in place and they followed it.
We were supervised by a 'facilitator' who looked after our team and gave us advice, and answered all our questions which was very useful.
Lots of support and guidance - they were always ready to help.
N/A
Yes - we had socials in the evenings which allowed us to get to know each other better and have some fun. We were also all staying at the same hotel, meaning we could always socialise after the programme.
Yes
It was a great programme - the most useful work experience I've had so far because it was targeted to school kids, which meant they understood our position and the advice they gave was always very relevant.
For the interview- make sure you research the firm and their values and gear your answers towards these.
