The programme was called the Skills Academy and involved students gaining an insight into the business, enhancing their skills and looking into the future options at EY. Over the three days you take part in various dynamic and productive workshops based on topics from around the business.
During the programme there were several workshops, all targeted at different skills and proficiencies. These definitely helped me become a more rounded business person and allowed me to gain skills that I would not have gained at any other work experience programme.
The programme was extremely enjoyable and it is inevitable that you will make friends from the word go. Everyone got along and it was a truly great experience.
During my time at EY a huge emphasis was placed upon me and how I can enhance myself. The programme invests alot of time and effort into your individual success; proving that the company value you and your skills. The supervisors were extremely interested the whole time and everyone was given the opportunity to get involved thoroughly.
The programme was extremely well organised, We were never left with nothing to do! Even at lunch we had the opportunity to network with people in the business and listen to various talks on business subjects. It was evident that alot of planning had been put into place and this resulted in an outstanding programme.
The level off support is immense. I have only been at EY for 3 days yet I have improved in many areas dramatically and this is a testament to the level of support provided over the course of the 3 days. Everybody is approachable and always willing to help.
Our team leader was great at providing help when needed. They were always helping and getting involved.
The programme was free and covered the cost of accomodation in the heart of london and travel costs.
The opportunities outside of this programme were presented to us and are truly vast. With various options available it is a hard choice you have to make when making a decision on which path you want to take to hopefully gain a career at EY.
Yes
EY are a company that have an emphasis on the people that work there. During my short stay I came across many people across the business. Every person was welcoming, helpful and interested. Also the firm is a Global business that deal with dynamic issues on the business front and this is a great environment to be involved with.
As my supervisor told us " failing to prepare is preparing to fail" ! The rewards of being involved with EY are amazing so by not preparing and doing your research you are missing out on a great opportunity.
